Pollo Campero is like KFC in Spanish. Most of the clientele and the employees speak Spanish, and your order will likely be called in Spanish too. However the menu is in English. There is not much to the menu. They only serve fried chicken and a few side dishes. The service is very friendly, and efficient. A few ethnic items in the menu include tortillas, (which you can order instead of a biscuit,) flan for dessert, and a variety of salsas for your chicken. The fried chicken is just as good or better than KFC or Popeye’s, but if there is a line out the door, as there often is at Herndon’s Pollo Campero, it’s not worth the wait.
