Five Guys is considered by many to be the best burger in the DC area. Each burger is made to order—never pre-made. They take their fries seriously too. Fried in peanut oil, they are all made from fresh potatoes, not frozen. There is a bulletin board on the wall telling you where the potatoes came from. You have to wait a good five minutes to get your burger, but it’s worth the wait. You can snack on peanuts while you wait, and the shells are just thrown on the floor. They also serve hot dogs.

The first Five Guys opened in Northern Virginia in the early 80's, and now there are dozens of them along the east coast from South Carolina to Delaware.

Burger joint with tasty burgers. Many free topping choices often leave the burger piled high. The burgers typically fall apart regardless of the amount of toppings and are sometimes assembled sloppily. If you don't eat at the 5 guys, the grease will soak the buns and leave you with a mess. Personally, I enjoy the hotdogs are much more than the burgers- though the 200 Washingtonian articles would disagree with me.

Awesome burgers! You might think that expanding the franchise would dilute the product, but not in this case. Burgers are the best and a "regular" order of fries will feed 4 people. Staff at Herndon location always friendly and cheerful...glad to see you. If you like burgers, you can't go wrong here.
