Carpool is a dark, smokey bar with a young crowd, 10 pool tables and a band every Friday night. ($3 cover charge.) When weather permits, they open the large outdoor patio and open lots of windows so the air quality is better. The bar is well decorated with a car motif, complete with a couple of antique gas pumps and cool car paintings on the walls.

The menu features most of your standard bar appetizers (hot wings, poppers, quesadillas etc.) plus several entrees, sandwiches and salads, and even desserts. (See official web site for menu.) While the menu is limited, the food is nicely prepared and satisfying.

Carpool has a second location in Arlington, and they have a completely differnet menu. The Arlington Carpool has a menu by Rocklands Barbecue and Grilling Company, which does not apply at the Herndon location.
